> Social Inclusion > Prince's Trust

The Everton Foundation and the charity The Prince's Trust have had a strong partnership which has strengthened over a number of years.

The primary goal of the link up has always been to play a positive role in the personal development of hundreds of young people from Liverpool and the north west of England.

Activities organised through structured courses help 16 to 25-year-olds develop skills, confidence and motivation which could help them gain nationally recognised qualifications and, ultimately, employment.

The involvement of The Everton Foundation not only encourages young people in their progress but also helps to strengthen links between local communities.

Here at The Everton Foundation we offer support to The Princes Trust by providing:

  • Venues for presentations or a team base
  • Match tickets
  • Work placements
  • Player involvement
  • Motivational talks
  • Articles in matchday programmes
  • The use of the club logo on promotional material
The courses provided by The Prince's Trust are open to all young people aged 16 to 25 who are employed, unemployed or engaged in the New Deal.

This partnership between The Prince's Trust and football clubs all over the country has been massively successful with 75 per cent of trust volunteers who were previously unemployed going on to either find employment, enter further education or undertake more training.

From those who were already employed, 90 per cent of employers report an improvement in the skills and attitudes of employed participants on their return to work.
