Creating Chances - Places for Players started in the 2007/08 season.
The flagship programme is a high profile initiative that
utilises Premier Leagues player's support to highlight the
diversity and quantity of community and good cause work being
carried out by Everton Football Club:
The Premier League/Professional Footballers' Association
Community Fund was launched in 2007/08 in order for Premier League
Clubs to consolidate, develop & enhance the range of programmes
being delivered in the community. The fund is administered and
managed by the Football Foundation.
The funds priority is to use the power of football to address
social issues and increase participation. These projects are
required to run for 3-years and must demonstrate links to the
following themes:
Health and Well Being
Education and Life Long Learning
Social Inclusion
Equality
The PL/PFA Community Fund has provided funding for:
The Everton Foundation grassroots disability programme
'Imagine Your Goals' - a men's mental health project
'Hoops 4 Health' - a grassroots basketball project
