Saturday's thrilling 2-0 victory over Manchester City was a day to remember for many fans and not just because of the sensational Everton performance on the pitch.

As the players ran out before kick off they were joined by 22 mascots for the dream day at Goodison.

£1 from the sale of match day tickets was also donated to the Foundation.

In total, £16,000 was raised for the Everton Foundation and will now go towards helping communities across Merseyside.

The youngsters not only got to meet their idols they also had a special tour of the Blues training facilities at Finch Farm, a coaching session and a ride on the team bus.

One of the match day mascots was Noah Cunningham who has from Muscular Dystophy.

Sadly, the six-year-old's condition means he may be unable to walk in six months time.

But on Saturday Noah was proud to help lead his beloved Everton out in front of a packed Goodison Park.

"We don't have many days like that with Noah, and as his condition progresses we wont have many more" explained Noah's mum, Vicki.

"Noah was fabulous and thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. Everton made our day a day to remember, we're still on a high.

"We think what the Everton Foundation does is amazing and Noah benefits from your hard work at wheelchair football as well as his match day experience."

Rowena Finn, Fundraisng Manager for the Everton Foundation, said, "Thank you to all those that supported us on this day.

"All the money raised will help us improve the lives of people like Noah as we can continue to deliver a range of programmes to promote health, education, social inclusion and equality, amongst people of all ages on Merseyside."

The Everton Foundation is a registered charity which delivers a range of programmes to promote Health, Education, Social Inclusion and Equality amongst people of all ages on Merseyside.
