Everton chief executive Robert Elstone is part of an intrepid group of riders cycling from London to Paris.
The 300 mile-plus ride is in aid of the Everton Foundation and it's hoped that over £15,000 will be raised.
The team of 15 riders left Liverpool on Tuesday and have now begun their trip to Paris.
Mr Elstone has been joined on the challenge by former politician and local businessman Derek Hatton, who is a staunch Evertonian.
"It's great to be able to do this for such a good cause," said Derek.
"The older you get, the more exercise you need. It's certainly better than sitting at home watching TV."
The Everton Foundation is a charity which seeks to use the power of Everton to engage all facets of the local community in sport, with the aim of improving their lives.
