The charity golf day held by the Everton Foundation on the 30th June at the magnificent Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa has been hailed a great success

The event, held to raise money for the Foundation, saw 44 people in attendance, who took the course with former Blues players Graeme Sharp, Iain Snodin, Neil Pontin and former Leeds United footballer John Stiles

A combination of fantastic weather and an impressive location added to the enjoyment of the day which raised a total of £4000 which will assist the ongoing work of the Everton Foundation.

The Everton Foundation would like to thank everybody who took part on the day and would like to forward special thanks to Formby Hall for offering out their beautiful course.

At the end of the day everyone congregated in the 19th hole where Graeme Sharp presented the awards.

2nd Team - Red House Pub - 76pts - Received Family Tickets to see Everton Tigers

3rd Team - Sutton Coldfield Blues - 75pts - Received A bottle of Moet Champagne

Longest Drive Pat Whitmore - received Tag sunglasses donated by Cottrills

Best Dressed Golfer - Jonathan Stranger - received " I am King" aftershave signed by P Diddy kindly donated by Estee Lauder

After the event Everton legend, Sharpy, said: "It's great to get involved in days like these. Everybody seemed to really enjoy themselves and what's better is we were raising money for a worthy cause in the process."
